OVERVIEW
During my time at The Mind Company, I helped expand the illustration library for our brain-training app, Elevate.
Two projects that feature some of my best work include building out our Achievements and creating new assets for an experiment we referred to as Audio Lessons.
AUDIO LESSONS
Elevate’s Audio Lessons were short “episodes” focused on common questions or blunders people had when it came to grammatical or mathematical rules. The illustrations for each lesson needed to feel like they fit together as a family, while also illuminating each episode’s topic.
ACHIEVEMENTS
We initially had three tiers of badges for each Achievement category: a bronze, silver, and gold level. We increased each category to include 10 Achievements, which required many new illustrated icons. I needed to mimic the already established art style while coming up with dozens of new concepts.
Amplifying our Achievement offerings was one of the ways we endeavored to make the Elevate app more engaging and gamified for our users.
